The design focuses on Japanese sword blade patterns and the tea ceremony.
Japanese swords made in Okayama, Japan, where our company is located, are highly regarded for their beautiful blade patterns, excellent sharpness, and durability. They are also highly valued as works of art beyond their role in Japanese samurai culture and as weapons.
Japanese samurai culture had a deep relationship with the tea ceremony, especially under the influence of Zen Buddhism. Tea ceremonies embodied the principles of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility and were an integral part of samurai life. These rituals had an aesthetic as well as a spiritual significance. Writings and works of art by the samurai frequently depict their relationship with tea, indicating that tea rituals were an important element in their lives.
