Where barbers and society connect

Anyone in a service business like ours can surely relate, to no small degree, to “the unease of closing the shop on a busy weekend day to head out to a venue”.

“Even so, the chance to take part in local events and let the public see the work of barbers is important,” 芦田 said.

We suspect that this awareness is shared not only by 芦田 but also by the members of 広島バーバーズ who plan and run this event, and by our peers in the trade who organize events all over the country.

On the day, they will be offering free charity haircuts at the event.

ヒロシマバーバーズ is made up of barbershops from all over Hiroshima.

They gather for the event from all over: not only from within Hiroshima City, but also from Fuchu-cho, Higashihiroshima, Onomichi, Fukuyama, and elsewhere.

In addition, assistants are also named on the organizing team, and the event is run by the squad they form.

A 30,000-person local festival

WONDERHOLIC JAMBOREE 2026 is one of Hiroshima's largest urban culture festivals.

The Jamboree itself runs for 3 days, from October 2 to 4. Its venues are Hiroshima Gate Park and Motomachi River Park. Admission is free, and 150 or more exhibitors line up, covering food, music, art, plants, fashion, and barber culture. In 2025, 20,000 people came over the 3 days; about 30,000 are expected in 2026.

Within it are a morning market, an area where artists gather, a botanical garden, and the BARBER'S FES. It is an event where barbering takes its place as one part of the city's culture.

When it comes to making the public aware of the work of the barbers who bring color to the event, this is one of the most useful ways to use NK Supply's branding capes.

Our ties with Hiroshima

For NK Supply, the relationship with Hiroshima's barbers goes back to before the business was founded, and now spans more than ten years.

We have long been indebted to 梶原, 芦田, and 磯見.

One of them, 磯見, used to hold an event in Hiroshima called “ヒゲフェス”. It began, 磯見 says, with a conversation with a customer at the shop: “Once you dress up, where are you supposed to go? Then let's create an occasion, just once a year, to look sharper than usual.”

Grown-ups dress up just a little and spend a good time over good drinks and good food.

One year, the theme was gold.

We were given the chance to collaborate with 歴清社 of Hiroshima, which has been making gold and silver leaf since 1905, and finished the entire surface of the cape in gold leaf.

At HIROSHIMA BARBER'S FES on May 6, 2024, the WORLD BARBER CLASSIC Chugoku-Shikoku preliminary was held, and for it they were kind enough to use capes from a triple collaboration between ヒロシマバーバーズ, the one-stroke drawing artist BOB artwork, and NK Supply. Here is our record of that day.

On June 15, 2026, WORLD CUT JAM 2026 in 広島 was held at CLiP HIROSHIMA, and there, too, NK Supply was given the opportunity to make a collaboration cape with BOB artwork.

People come together at Salooon!! — 磯見's shop. In the window hung the poster for that day's festival.

Inside, the shop was packed with people who had finished their day. Standing at the counter, gathered around tables, they are still talking.

It is probably because of this time together that they gather again the following year.

It carries on unbroken; even as they rebuild the organizing team, they keep this locally rooted activity going.

This is truly precious, and it is not easy. Their resolve to contribute to their community and the people who live there shows through.

It is precisely because Hiroshima's barbers keep creating these occasions themselves that NK Supply strongly wishes to keep standing beside them and supporting them.
